JSP Confident of Dominance in Araku Local Elections

PARVATIPURAM — Jana Sena Party coordinator Korikana Ravikumar struck a confident tone Sunday, predicting the NDA alliance will secure decisive victories in the approaching local body elections across the Araku Parliament segment.

Alliance Strength and Voter Shift

Ravikumar, who serves as Srikakulam Urban Development Authority chairman, told reporters that initial discussions with alliance partners TDP and BJP had concluded positively. He observed that voters have grown weary of the YSR Congress Party, creating an opening for the opposition coalition.

"The NDA parties are likely to have an upper hand in Araku, Saluru, Parvatipuram, Palakonda and other places of the Parliamentary constituency as people were fed up with YSR Congress Party," Ravikumar stated.

Infrastructure Wins Tribal Trust

The JSP leader pointed to concrete development achievements as driving voter confidence. He highlighted that Deputy Chief Minister and JSP president Pawan Kalyan had overseen the construction of 1,065 kilometers of roads in tribal areas during the past two years—a tangible improvement that resonated deeply with local communities.

Ravikumar claimed this infrastructure push has shifted traditional YSRCP voters toward the NDA, particularly toward his own party. "They will vote for JSP as well as NDA parties in ensuing elections," he asserted.

Grassroots Strategy and Ticket Distribution

Looking ahead, Ravikumar emphasized the party's commitment to nurturing new leadership at the grassroots level. Candidate selection will involve thorough background checks, with tickets distributed according to local strength, community dynamics, and existing political equations among the three alliance parties.

He stressed that all candidates must adhere to guidelines set by the party high command, ensuring unity and discipline within the coalition as they approach the polls.
