The scale of the operation is staggering. The state government has established 1,312 flood shelters across affected regions, with 4,847 people currently taking refuge in these safe havens. Relief Commissioner's Office officials emphasize that alongside moving people to safety, the administration is ensuring food, medical care, and essential supplies reach those in need.

"Despite impacting nearly 3.53 lakh people, no human or livestock casualties have been reported so far due to the active response of the relief and rescue machinery," stated the Uttar Pradesh Flood Relief Commissioner's Office.

Massive Relief Operation

This isn't just about moving people—it's about sustaining them. The numbers tell the story of a massive logistical effort: 72,897 flood relief kits distributed, more than 3.67 lakh lunch packets provided to affected families, and over 5.52 lakh chlorine tablets and 1.87 lakh ORS packets distributed for health safety.

The infrastructure behind this operation includes 1,634 flood outposts established across the state, 1,697 boats and motorboats deployed for rescue operations, and 1,068 medical teams ready to respond. More than 45,000 animals have been affected, though thankfully no livestock deaths have been reported.
