In a moment of pride for humanitarian efforts, the Anantapur district branch of the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) has been honored with five Governor’s medals. The recognition, handed out during the annual general meeting of the IRCS Andhra Pradesh State branch, celebrates outstanding contributions to Red Cross services.

The medals reflect deep dedication. In the membership category, V. Vinod Kumar, former District Collector of Anantapur and IRCS branch president, and Vaka Srinivasula Reddy, ex-RDO of Guntakal, were celebrated for their leadership and support.

Three organizations received accolades for their robust CSR initiatives. Mobis India Module Private Limited, Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, and M/s Saptagiri Camphor Private Limited were each acknowledged for their significant backing of Anantapur’s Red Cross activities.

Beyond Anantapur, Nandyal District Collector Rajakumari Ganiya was awarded the Red Cross Gold Medal and a Certificate of Appreciation. Her work—including a blood storage unit, a Jan Aushadhi Kendra, and the ‘Doctor at Your Doorstep’ program—showcased impactful public service.
