“District cooling system helps balance the peak load. It reduces the ‘grid power on intake’ during peak hours,” Monga explained. “Coimbatore is one of the ideal cities for this project.”

J. Sathish, Director of Kongu Global Forum, added that the previous state government had already laid policy groundwork, urging that district cooling should advance as a formal project in Tamil Nadu.
