East Zone Deputy Commissioner of Police Krishna Kanth Patil stated that Kumar, addicted to vices, carried out the burglary shortly after completing his engineering studies.

Investigation and Recovery

Acting on a complaint, police scoured CCTV footage which led them to Kumar. He confessed to the crime during interrogation. Authorities have successfully recovered all the stolen jewelry—350 grams of gold and 230 grams of silver—bringing relief to the victims.

"The accused, H. Vinod Kumar, who recently completed engineering, was addicted to vices and committed theft in a locked house," said East Zone DCP Krishna Kanth Patil.
