Grassroots accountability

The government plans to establish guarantee implementation committees at every gram panchayat, with MLAs tasked to constitute them promptly. If they drag their feet, the administration will step in. Meanwhile, all government officers must reside in their headquarters—be it district, taluk, or village—to stay accessible and solve problems locally.

A system for grievances

Come September 5, the new Praja Seva Department will begin supervising public grievance redressal across Karnataka. District-in-charge ministers will hold meetings twice monthly, while MLAs are expected to do so four times. The goal? Resolve issues on the spot whenever possible.
